Dee de Lara (she/her/they/them) Teacher, Muse Movement Teacher Training Graduate

Muse: those who are open to play and try something new and curiously and collaboratively disrupt the norms

Dee is a 1st generation Filipinx-American-Canadian facilitator, multi-passionate artist and community-invested entrepreneur. A Muse Reformer Training grad, Dees' Pilates journey started in 2017 in their mid-30s after years of moving around, but not moving their body. First, as an enthusiastic and passionate student then as an enthusiastic and passionate teacher who applies studies of contemporary mat Pilates, trauma-aware and somatic movement, facilitation and reformer. As a teacher, Dee feels honoured to offer a mirror for people to see themselves in others and to co-create spaces for play and discovery. They focus on connecting the dots with, and for, historically marginalized identities through somatics-based movement and Pilates to spark curiosity; values coaching exploring your what, why and how to ignite action; and brand strategy decoding culture and human behaviour to fuel untold narratives. They steward The Liminal Movement, a lush field of expansive possibility for those living in a state of in-between to wander and wonder in community.
