Mat Teacher Training at Muse Movement

Mat Pilates Teacher Training

Our Mat Program combines 90 practicum hours with 80+ in-class hours, led by a diverse faculty with over 50 years of collective experience. Spanning several months, the training gives you time to absorb, practice, and integrate what you learn.

We know every- body learns differently. That’s why we use a wide range of tools and approaches to support diverse learning styles, all within a supportive community that’s here to see you succeed.

Yes, we follow an outline, but real learning happens when curiosity leads the way. We welcome inquiries, encourage exploration, and believe the richest growth comes from learning with and from each other. At Muse, there are no wrong questions — only opportunities to deepen your wonder and your practice.

How to Apply for Mat Pilates Teacher Training

We’re so glad you’re considering starting your teacher training journey with us! Here’s how to get started:

1. Read the training details carefully.
Take your time to go through all of the program information. Make sure the schedule works for you and that you have the time and energy to commit — this is an exciting and transformative experience, and we want you to feel fully ready for it.

2. Submit your application.
Once you’ve reviewed the details, complete your application form. This is where you’ll tell us a little about yourself, your Pilates background, and what’s inspiring you to take this next step.

3. Book your information session .
Once you have submitted your application (and only then) book a session in studio with our support team.  This is a chance to ask questions, get clarity on the training, and make sure it’s the right fit for you. Please treat this session as you would a professional appointment: come prepared, and let us know if you need to reschedule. Only serious applicants please.

Requirements

  • A regular Mat Pilates practice is recommended before beginning the program, so you feel comfortable with the foundations.

  • No prior teaching experience is required. This training is open to anyone — whether you want to teach or simply deepen your own practice.

  • You do not need to be “good at Pilates” or have perfect form. We believe those ideas are myths that get in the way of learning. What matters most is a sparked interest in the practice and a willingness to show up, learn, and stay curious about your body.
