KERI (she/her) Proprietor, Teacher, Creator and Director of Muse Pilates Teacher Training

Muse: Anything that makes me see life from a different perspective: Love, Travel, Books, Music and MOVEMENT and;  People who Live their Passion and who stick their necks out for Other Humans.

In 2015, Keri created Muse Movement to support and grow a community of movers, teachers and students who are curious, love a laugh, a great tune and above all: are committed to mindful movement, growth and feeling strong and embodied. Keri’s motto: Move your body, move your mind, move your heart comes from her own experience with the therapeutic and transformative power of movement. Living with rheumatoid arthritis from early childhood, Keri did not always have a healthy relationship with her body but all that changed when she started practicing Pilates. The practice gave her power as she became embodied. She found inner strength and confidence in both body and brain and discovered that the two could be great pals. She now lives without pain and enjoys the freedom of dynamic movement and a life the same. A passionate teacher, Keri’s goal is to help people feel better and empower them through movement so they live happier and more creative lives. Keri has been teaching in Toronto for twelve years and has built a reputation as a deeply caring, intuitive, informed and fun teacher. She has completed extensive and specialized training and professional development in a variety of movement modalities including comprehensive rehab/therapeutic approaches- but finds that she learns the most from her students and compassionately appreciates that every body is nuanced, unique and beautiful. Keri created the MuseMovement Pilates Teacher Training in 2017 to spread the contemporary Pilates love. She has had the delight of watching students transform their own bodies and lives through this training and has fostered a community of curious and inspired teachers. The program is the most unique and comprehensive in Toronto with a diverse variety of faculty, workshops and learning tools to help create intelligent and creative teachers with the same goal as her: to help people feel strong, mobile and flexible in body, mind and heart.
